Why do web sites look sharper in browsers other than Internet Explorer?

• To be blunt: Explorer is not a great browser. Its popularity is based on quantity, not quality.
• Firefox, Safari (if you use a Mac), or Opera are much better browsers as they are continuously kept up to date with the current W3C Web Standards. Firefox and Opera are available for free download and are both offered for Mac and Windows.

Why do your pages have so much unused space in my window?

• We design our pages to display at all resolutions. Though it is becoming more and more rare to find a monitor running at the lower resolution, we want to make sure that anybody can view your page regardless of the hardware they own.
